I love waking up in the morning and seeing the scale go down!  I started the VLCD portion of the protocol on Nov 11 and here are my results so far:

Day 1: 152.5

Day 2: 149.5

Day 3: 147.5

Day 4: 146.5

Day 5: 145.5

So, that is 7 lbs. after completing 4 days on the VLCD.  I'm really surprised since I'm one of those who doesn't have as much to lose as some of the others so I thought I'd lose it slower.  My goal is to reach 130 by the last injection day (Nov. 30) and my ultimate goal is 120.

Thanks for everyone's support because it makes all the difference in helping me stick to this! Smiley

Brenda,

Hang in there - you can so reverse this!  I think another thing to keep in mind is not only do you have to eat but the more raw veggies the better.  I'm still eating my big salads for lunch and dinner and I really think all of the crunchy veggies are moving through my system and helping me lose weight.  Not only do they provide fiber but they're catabolic so many are negative calories.

Sometimes I find I'm not hungry when it is time to eat (usually snack time) but I eat my melba toast and apple anyway because I know I need to.  I also exercise everyday so I'm sure that helps.

I know you're going to beat this and we're going to be right along side cheering you on!

Go Brenda! Grin Go Brenda! Grin

Carla, you are doing great!!! Wow, sometimes I think about being 120 lbs again. Believe it or not I was that weight in High School and at 5'10' that is not just thin, it's skinny!!! I think for me 130-135 lbs. will be perfect. Who knows how many rounds that will take!!??!! I'm going to do the 45 day round this time. The Simeons manuscript talks about not letting anyone lose more that 40 lbs in one phase, but I don't think I've heard of anyone losing that much in one round anyways. Maybe I can be the first!!!

I didn't have a good sleep last night because my 2 year old decided to keep climbing out of her crib starting at 1:30 and then again at 2 and 3. My weight results  this morning were another 1.5 lbs down; maybe it would have been better if I had a good sleep.

Yesterdays diet was awsome, I still feel satisfied:

Grapefruit
Cracker

Baby euro greens salad including tomato, celery, green onion, and cucumber with apple cider mustard dressing
Poached chicken breast
Cracker

Celery
Apple

Onions sauteed in chicken broth with a petite 3.5 oz organic grass fed filet mignon on top
7 oz of steamed broccoli and cauliflower
1 tomato

1.5 liters of water
about 10 cups of different teas

And all of it was 500 calories!!!

Hang in there Brenda, you are just coming off the TOM. From what I've read elsewhere, another reason they recommend not taking the shots during the TOM is that people rarely lose any weight during that time and it's a waste. I think you should start counting calories too. I'll email you a copy of the calorie calculator--it's in excel format and it's easy to use.

Kathy,

You are doing awesome girl - congrats!  I weighed 115 in high school and at 5'2" I looked perfect.  I wasn't skinny but I was superfit.  And to think I wasn't even satisfied then because I was short and curvy and my friends were either tall and thin, or short and skinny.  I'm glad I've raised my daughter with more self esteem than I had back then because I looked great and didn't even know it!  I could try for my high school weight again but I've been 120 before and looked good there so I'll just wait and see.  You're lucky you're tall because tall people carry there weight so much better than us munchkins...

Keep up the good work!  Speaking of work I'd better get back to it.  I've been spending way too much time prowling these forums and ignoring my work.

My weight unfortunately is the same today.

Day 6: 145.5

To make myself feel better (since I'm spoiled by losing every day till now), I went back and reread parts of the book, especially about the apple day.  KT says it is normal not to lose everyday and if you're faithful to the protocol it may result in a more dramatic weight loss in a couple of days.  Also says I'm still losing fat.  Yesterday was the first day I didn't exercise so I'm going to step it up today.  Hope to have a happier report tomorrow!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement and support!  Alisa and Mixie we have not forgotten about you -- we are just waiting for the day when you send out your message that you've received your HCG and are ready to join us!  I really hope you get it ASAP!

After not losing yesterday, I'm grateful to be 1/2 lb down today.  Considering I was out most of the day and not on my normal schedule, I'm glad.  A friend and I went to the new IKEA and were there for about 5 hours.  Luckily they had a salad bar and I brought my own salad dressing so I was able to have lunch (I ate my steak before I left.)  Today I'm leaving to attend an out of town baby shower and won't be back till tomorrow night.  I hate being away from home because it is so much harder but I'm just going to have to suck it up! I probably won't be able to weigh in till Monday so I'll check back then.

My progress so far on the VLCD:

Day 1: 152.5

Day 2: 149.5

Day 3: 147.5

Day 4: 146.5

Day 5: 145.5

Day 6: 145
