Hi Everybody, Well, I am new to this site and the hcg injections so any and all advice is greatly appreciated. I recieved my hcg on Friday, starting injections on Saturday. Loaded heavily as advised in book on Saturday and Sunday.. I actually gained 4 pounds, so I think I got the loading thing down pretty good. Which is part of my problems, if I over eat at all, I always gain a lot of weight really easily.
So today is day one of the VLCD, haven't been hungry yet. I'm sure I have enough calories in me to last about a week, I would think. Did anyone else feel bad eating all that food? I just don't eat like that, and the whole time I kept asking myself, why am I doing this, don't I have enough fat on my body to ward off hunger?
So today I weighed in at 147.8, I'm 5'2 so that is to much.. Why I'm here. Glad to have this forum so much information. Hope to get to know some of you on this journey. Thank you, Kellygirl.

Kellygril, Welcome I am just one week ahed of you, and so far I lost 9lb. I am also 5'2 and weighed at 146.6 on my firs day of VLCD. You did a very good thing by eating a lot. I didn't do that and only gained less than 1lb and had headaches at firs. What is your goal? How long are you planning to be on P2? You will love this forum, everyone is so supportive Lila

Hello Kellygirl and Lila I am just ahead of you both myself. My first load day was Jan 8th and I thought I did really well but I have been having headaches (could be allergies though - cedar is off the charts in TX) and now I have a breakout on my chin. It looks like I hit puberty again - ugh! Has anyone else had that happen? I have been very hungry and havent had a 'no-cheating' day yet. I am really worried that if I cant keep it under control now, how will I do for the 3 weeks after I finish my last shot? I did the load (and how!) but didnt gain much weight and I am still hungry... I am sure I ate enough; in fact, I should have bought stock in Blue Bell Ice Cream before I started my load. I am trying very hard to make today my first perfect day but I didnt bring anything for lunch (kids ate it last night) so I am in a bind now. bummer. Enough for now. I am going to the buffet downstairs to see if I can find 3.5 ounces of chicken or something. I WILL make this day work... I CAN do it! Anyhow, I wish you both all the best.

Shari,
Hang in there - you can do this! I grill a batch of chicken, steak, or fish every couple days. Then if I have to go out I bring a baggie with my cut up protein and homemade salad dressing and I dump it on my salad when I'm out. For my job I do a lot of driving so sometimes it is more convenient for me to have my lunch at breakfast and then eat my second meal at dinner. You do have to be pretty organized to do this but pretty soon you will find strategies to work this into your particular lifestyle.
No, I haven't had any breakouts from the HCG but I do break out sometimes when it is my TOM.
If you find yourself really hungry at night, go to bed early if you can. Just keep telling yourself that when you wake up you get to weigh in - yea!
Keep us posted on your progress!
Carla

Lila, thank you so much for the encouragament. I'm planning on being on phase two until I run out of hcg or until I lose my 23 pounds. Which ever comes first. I think I have enough for about 40 days so I hope I can get there in one round. My goal weight is 120. I lost 4.3 pounds so far, thus the loaded weight is gone. I'm actually feeling a lot hungry today. Is that normal? It will be great to help each other along this journey, I'm excited.. Talk soon, Kellygirl

Hi Shari, So did you make it okay? I too have been extremly hungry today only so far. But I did gain 4 pounds, yep that was 4 pounds loading. Part of the reason I'm doing this, I gain weight so easyily. I hope that this will help cure my metabolic problems. I do work out all the time too. I don't know if hunger is normal but I'm feeling it today man. I'm hoping it passes soon, the book says that you can have hunger for a few days to a week I think. It says depending on how much you did in phase 1. I did do a lot of phase one but not around Christmas time. I was way eating off course. Just because I was traveling and eating on the road a lot. I hope your doing better today, hang in there, drinks (tea) seems to be helping my hunger a little bit. Take care, Kelly Hello Kellygirl and Lila I am just ahead of you both myself. If you click reply, your post will be added there --on that page. If you wish to send someone a personal message, click on the persons name, and then send this member a personal message. Also, if ever you wish to modify something you posted, click modify, make your modifications and save. Sometimes I notice a typo in something I did and go back and change it. K

Lila - I am on day 9 today... I am starting to feel a little better. No headache so far and my grapefruit with tea seems to be satisfying me this morning.
I only lost .8 lbs since yesterday but I am down a total of 10 lbs since shot #1 and more importantly 5% body fat. I actually got to make seasoned tilapia recipe from the recipe forum last night which was really good. I hid it in the fridge so I have lunch today! Yippeee!! Things are looking up.
How did you do yesterday? Shari

Wow Lila & Shari - you all are doing awesome! And Lila, I like how you eat your meals in such special surroundings -- great idea and attitude. It is great that you think you could stay on this forever but I'll tell you why I could not - I'm so sick of chicken I could scream! I loved it in the beginning and now I have to force myself to eat it. Bought some steak today so yea!

Hi girls, Kathy thank you so much for the navigation support through this site, I think I have a handle on it now.. Maybe.. It's a little challenging for me. Shari, My oh my was my stomach upset yesterday too. Mine was growling like crazy. I had done a really hard workout in the morning and I'm wondering if there is any correlation to hunger pains and exercise. When this protocal was written I don't think it was for people who exercise hard, was that part of the study does anyone know? Anyway, yes, so far I've been hungry.. very hungry Lila, Thanks for the tip of drinking more water and tea. I will try that today. I also like that you fix your table up fancy for your meals what a great idea.. make it special. How are you doing today Lila? We need to keep track on one another, we have the same goal and time frame in mind. that is cool. I'm hoping to lose the 21 (now) more pounds before I run out of hcg and go to phase three. We'll see, I'm going to stay exactly on the food plan, I don't want to do this again if I don't have too. Did you take before pictures? We will share sometime.. How is your hunger today Lila? Do you feel faint ever? Talk soon, Kelly Hi Carla, I'm happy you are off that plateau, good girl sticking with it through the hard times. I'm so proud of you, and so glad to know you, what a neat lady. Thank you for all your support Carla.. I don't know Carla, I'm thinking maybe a cruise? Kelly
