Hi Everyone!
This is my first post and not sure where to ask this, but figured only those that have gone through the HCG experience can relate. I did my first round of HCG back in June and lost 18 lbs. I felt so wonderful. Then I really sucked at Phase 3 and gained 5 lbs. back. Not bad really, but I didn't quite make it to my goal weight. I'm now 10 lbs away. Which on my frame seems to make a huge difference, especially since I put it all on my thighs and rear. I can still wear my jeans from the initial weight loss, but one pair (which I love) is a bit tight.

My dilemma: I decided to do a second round because the weight comes off so quickly and I know I will probably lose those last 10 lbs. pretty quickly. I have purchase the HCG and stalled for about 3 weeks now. For the last 2 days I loaded up and today was suppose to be my first day again on the VLCD. Last night I had a long discussion with my husband about changing my eating habits for life long results. I'm feeling so conflicted about doing the HCG again now. It's not easy and I know I will miss food and miss cooking for my family. I know that I need to make life changes and that has to happen after I'm done. So, am I killing myself for 10 lbs? Should I just start a healthy diet now and forget the second round? Do others feel they really lose in places that are not possible with normal diet and exercise? I'm feeling so conflicted over 10 stupid pounds! It's ridiculous and I'm almost embarrassed to even post this!

Thanks for any advice!

Poptart,
You should definitely go with your instincts on this.  Being on phase 2 is a double edged sword in my opinion.  The benefits are unbeatable, but the trade off in the meantime is pretty big.
When my husband and I first switched to organic foods about a year and a half ago, our bodies reacted DRAMATICALLY.  Without changing any other part of our lifestyle, he lost nearly 30 lbs and I lost about 15 lbs.  We ate what we wanted, like ice cream, cookies, and other snacks.  We just stuck to organics.  We may have gone for leisurely walks here and there, but we really didn't even workout.  We did this for about 2 months, while we waited on our hcg to arrive.
We could not believe our eyes.  All of our friends and most of our family act like we're part of some weird cult or something, but even they couldn't deny the results that we got.  For about 4 months just prior to that, I even worked out with my sister and a personal trainer twice a week.  Sure, I was healthier, but I actually didn't really lose any weight.  But I'm telling you, once I went to organics, it was like the weight just melted away.
Anyway, sorry that was long, but I just wanted you to know that if you really don't want to do phase 2, at least give organic foods a try.
Good luck, and let us know what you decide!

Hi June,

After waiting half the day yesterday not eating and still not sure of what to do I decided to make some chicken breasts and ate 1/2 a breast and some strawberries and decided I would do the Phase 2 at least for yesterday. I woke up this morning 2.8 lbs lighter and remembered why it was so great last time! I know that was one meal less that normal, but the loss is about what happened last time!

I agree, Phase 2 is a double edged sword! You couldn't have said it better!
I'm hoping to make it for 21 days. After that I am taking your advice and trying organics. It's kind of funny you mentioned that because just yesterday before I got your post I decided to stop off at the new Natural Grocer we got here. I try to buy organic milk & snacks a lot, but it's easy to get away from that when I do most of my shopping at Walmart. I have two small boys though and I can't think of a better time to teach them to eat healthier! I'm lucky too because my husband will eat anything... if it's home cooked, he's all over it!

I know what you mean about the cult thing! That's how my family (parents) acts when I buy organics. Like I've lost my mind... why would I want to do that! LOL

Thanks for the chat!

What a fantastic start!!  I'm glad you decided to give it a try and that your family will be happy to try organics also.  I know it's tough, but try to stick with it!!
